You might be wondering what is a tandoor? A tandoor is believed to be the “Heart” of the kitchen, and Bar-be-que the “Heart Throb” of Women; we have a great pleasure to serve you in this Stream.
A Tandoor is a Symbol of Culture originating from India. Tandoori cooking began with the nomadic tribes in the Steppes of Central Asia and was brought by the Moghul rulers to India. Even today it is manufactured only in the North-West part of India. A Tandoor is the only natural oven amongst all other kitchen equipment. It is a result of many hard exercises; the maker has to Extract Earthen Clay from the bottom of the Lakes, dry it and then Screen it to Fine Powder. Before making a Tandoor, he has to ensure proper mixture of Refractory and Ceramic materials into the Earthen Clay Extracted. The Raw clay is then tampered slowly and gradually turning it into an oval-shaped pot. This pot is very safely carried to a Furnace and seasoned at a temperature of 300 Degrees centigrade up to 8 hrs. Finally, the Pot is polished making it’s outer and inner surfaces smooth.
A Tandoor yet is only worthwhile if it is properly installed. Installation of a Tandoor definitely requires a special skill. It is important how the clay pot is insulated. Improper installation may lead to inadequate generation of heat inside thus spoiling its delicacy. Tandoors are mostly preferred in Coal as its fuel but now as an up-gradation, the same authentic Tandoor is available on Gas as well thus taking care of its clay-based flavour. From roadside restaurants to elegant 5-star Hotels, Tandoori food is now becoming a mouth-watering diet.
